Our 5th Item for Card Making

Well, I was going to make background paper and then layer on top of it, but I couldn't cover it up.  So this is our final project for Card Making, Friday, August 24.  I couldn't get a good picture that truly showed the colors, but it is a very crisp image in person.  The stamps are all from Papertrey Ink.  You can see their wonderful creative ideas at their blog.  If you visit some of the older posts you will see their creations with this floral stamp set.  Be sure to check out the blogs of their designers too, especially Dawn McVey.  She's my favorite.

We will be gathering at Peace Lutheran Church in Greencastle, IN on Friday, Aug. 24th at 6:00 am.  Here are 4 of the cards we will be making.  Our 5th card will be one on which we will create our own background.  Check back in a couple of days for a picture of that cards as well.

The paper is a digital paper from Gina K.  The stamps are Stampin Up!  The ticket shaped label is from Papertrey Ink, and the top silver die cut is from Stampin Up!.  The small inset piece on the top card is the tip of one of the dies in Half & Half Die Collection also from Papertrey Ink.

For those of you joining us August 24th, we look forward to seeing you!

Projects for Card Making June 15th

Well I know it has been a while since my last post.  School and Child Care keep me very busy.  Life is a little calmer now that it is summer.  Our next Card Making event at Peace Lutheran Church in Greencastle, Indiana is Friday, June 15th beginning at 6:00 pm.  The past two months I have been finishing one of my sample projects while the participants have been creating.  This month I am ahead of the game.  I have my three projects done. I am going to post them here so you know what you have to look forward to.

The rickrack trim and flower die cuts are from dies you can find at Papertrey Ink.  They have some of my most favorite items.  The label punches are from Stampin Up! as are the stamps I used.  The paper is from a DCWV paper stack Linen Closet both the print and the plain packs I purchased at JoAnn Fabrics.  I used the smallest size paper pack.

The third picture is a matchbook to hold a gift card.  You can find the inspiration that I used here.  Mary's website is one of my favorites.

We hope to have a big crowd on June 15th.   We always have fun and it is good therapy!

More Tissue Box Covers

I made one with white card stock and then one that I covered the entire card stock base before assembly. The green Christmas paper just seemed like it needed to be all over. I scored and folded while the glue was still wet. It went together very well. I have already taken my other projects over to church. I will try to get photos of them as well. We hope to see a few of our card making friends this Friday, Oct. 28 at 6:00 pm. We will be at Peace Lutheran Church in Greencastle, IN.

October Card Making

Hello. Life gets so busy. I do check all of my favorite blogs daily, but I do not get many updates posted here. So, tonight I decided to give you a sneak peek at one of our projects for our October card making night on the 28th.

These are tissue box covers. I also made a fall themed cover, but it is on my desk at work. Here is the link to the tutorial I used.

I like the simple clean look of these but some of our participants like the extra embelleshed projects so I am going to work on one with more pizzazz. I will add that photo when it is complete. Thanks for stopping by.

Mo's Digital Pencil on Paper Craft Planet

If you are a member of Mo's Digital Pencil on Paper Craft Planet she has an adorable paper doll digi with a challenge. (click on Mo to go to her page) I love paper dolls and spent many hours playing with them when I was younger. I would always draw around the clothes and color new outfits so this was perfect. Here is my version of Trudy and her party dress. Of course, I made her a true paper doll rather than a card or scrapbook page.

I used Bazill's new dotted swiss paper, Copic markers, tulle from JoAnn Fabrics, Versa Mark, and Stampin' Up white embossing powder.

I just had to make Trudy some more dresses so I decided to share them as well and add on to this post. I used Copic markers to color, the printed cardstock I printed from some Gina K digital papers and some My Time Made Easy digital papers. The stamps are Stampin' Up.
